Ice Spice and Alexander Wang, two New York City sweethearts, have linked up. The Bronx-native rapper is the new face of the Alexander Wang Spring 2024 campaign. The first images of the collection came out last September promising sheer, slick, wet, futuristic club vibes. The collection is titled, “Nocturna.”

We’ve already reported that Alexander Wang’s collection represents a shift into fashion that embraces scandal and shamelessness, grit and glamour, and the campaign photos embody that—they almost feel like pages you might’ve seen in a magazine or wheat paste posters you might’ve seen on the sides of buildings in Bushwick. The collection drips with elements of futurism and nostalgia, bringing both the futuristic language of the Noughties and the high voltage camera flash of that decade’s club scene and its tabloids into the 2020’s. Ice Spice’s attitude as an artist encapsulates that. She is both unapologetic about the generation she represents and incredibly reverent to the women in music, both rap stars and pop stars who came before her.

In the photos, Ice Spice models leather outerwear and fishnet tights, a hotfix denim, lingerie, and knee high boots. Her trademark amber hair is styled pin straight and in a slick down-do. In one of the photos, she’s also seen wearing a full length sheer maxi dress studded with rose cut crystal gem embeds that evoke that same water droplet effect. She’s also showing off a bag from alexander wang’s Dome line.

“The campaign fuses fashion and rap, capturing the essence of the powerful and strong alpha wang woman,” according to alexander wang’s campaign notes.
