What to Look for in Peel and Stick Wallpapers for Bathrooms

According to Daniel Cabrera, owner of Sell My House Fast SA TX, there are a few things to look for when shopping for peel and stick wallpapers for bathrooms. “When it comes to making bathroom selections its imperative to use the proper wallpaper because of the humid environments and possible water contact, says Cabrera. “I would encourage anyone thinking about putting wallpaper in a bathroom to use water-resistant or waterproof product.”

If you’re unable to find water-resistant or water-proof, vinyl should also do the trick, especially for renters, due to ease of application and removal. “These wallpapers tend to be able to withstand moisture in the bathrooms. Vinyl wallpaper are some of the best for a bathroom because of durability and how easy they are to clean.”

Second, you want to be aware of how easy the wallpaper applies. “Some lesser-quality wallpapers are difficult to work with and the end product will be disappointing and frustrating,” says Cabrera. “This is really important because taking off wallpaper can be pretty difficult and can have a snowball effect of removing wallpaper, now the drywall is damaged and you may have to replace the drywall. Needless to say quality is important when choosing wallpaper.”

Finally, as any designer knows, you want to be aware of the overall effect the wallpaper has on a room. “Consider patterns based on which room you’re applying the wallpaper to and its current design,” says Cabrera. “Whether you’re trying to make a statement piece or something subtle. The patterns of the wallpaper can be a special touch in any room.”
